Glory – Season 1 Episode 5 “Low Blow” Recap & Review

Episode 5 of Glory is yet another action-packed episode where the mystery of Gudiya’s murder continues to unfold. The episode, “Low Blow,” features a combination of explosive action, family tension and new revelations, though some story choices leave a few questions.
The episode begins with Dev and Ravi searching for Kapil in the Dhanda’s compound. The brothers fight their way through several armed men and finally find Kapil hiding in the same room where Dhanda keeps his prized buffalo, Sultan. In a last-ditch effort, Dev threatens to blow the joint with a hand grenade. Sultan accidentally ingests the grenade, causing pandemonium and a ferocious explosion that reduces Dhanda to ruins, leaving him furious at the loss of his beloved pet.
Outside, Dev, Ravi and Raghubir put Kapil under scanner forcing him to confess. The attackers, who used a hydraulic press as an intimidation tool, killed Nihal and Gudiya, and the people want answers as to their identity. “Gudiya was never the target, Nihal was not the target,” says Kapil, adding a big twist. He also identifies the third masked man as Dino, who introduced them to a mysterious woman who made the payment.
Dev breaks Kapil’s hand and Kapil finally tells Dino’s location in Isar. But before family can do anything DSP Phogat and police reach there. Dev is arrested, unable to flee because of his injured leg. Raghubir loses his freedom by throwing Ravi off a cliff so his son can escape while he is taken into custody.
Ravi takes refuge in Arvind’s place and hides in the basement. Meanwhile, Dev and Raghubir are moved to prison where Kookie’s men are waiting for an opportunity to settle old scores. Ravi tells Arvind that Dino is outside, and that starts a new investigation.
In prison, father and son finally reconcile years of unspoken resentment. Dev says Raghubir’s pride destroyed their family but Raghubir says he was just trying to protect his father’s boxing legacy. Their emotional exchange deepens the complexity of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Ravi begins to chase his boxing dreams again. Bharti urges him to return to training and live his dream of winning Olympic gold. But Ravi’s transformation is surprisingly fast, and her backing helps him regain his focus.
Elsewhere, DSP Phogat finds Ravi hiding in Arvind’s house and Arvind gets suspended for helping a fugitive. Ravi is dragged back into custody.

Another subplot takes a dark turn when Dharam is killed after the brakes on his motorbike are sabotaged.
The prison sequence reaches a climax when Kookie’s men attempt to kill Dev and Raghubir in their cell. As the attack begins, the Commissioner of Police arrives and orders their instant release. Ravi is released soon too.
The episode ends on an emotional and tense note. Ravi tells his family that he will win a gold medal at the Olympics and bring back honor to the family, but Dev, still feeling betrayed, responds with anger instead of support.
Review of Episode
“Low Blow” is action-packed and full of big plot developments, but it also feels like a transitional episode built to lead into the season’s final push. The prison scenes and the family drama are compelling, but some of the plot points seem a bit too hurried or a tad too convenient.
Ravi’s sudden change of heart, especially with his anger issues and his return to boxing, feels underdeveloped. Likewise, a bunch of side characters keep getting screen time and not really furthering the central mystery.
The series has only two episodes left and many unanswered questions, especially as to who killed Gudiya and if it’s someone much closer to the family orchestrating it all. Glory needs a strong finish to tie all its storylines together now.
