Glory – Season 1 Episode 7 Recap, Review & Ending Explained

The final episode of Glory begins with a flashback where Gudiya is seen talking to Nihal about her pregnancy. Gudiya is worried about his future and Olympic dreams and tells him that she wants to abort the pregnancy so that he can concentrate on his career. In this emotional moment she meets Nishi who is being chased by several men and begs for help.
What Happened to Gudiya?
Gudiya reaches in time and misleads the men chasing Nishi and lets her go. She takes Nishi to Raghubir’s ancestral house and hides her there for her safety. Here Gudiya learns that Nishi is running from Bharti who is planning to force her to marry by selling her to a local family.
How Does Ravi Train for the Olympic Trials?
Back in the present, the Olympic trials are about to start and Ravi, Raka and the rest of the boxers at NSI are making their final preparations. Raghubir tells Ravi that Arvind’s body has been taken care of and warns him to stay away from Bharti before Ravi steps into the ring.
The contests are sudden death, with one fighter coming in after another until only one boxer is standing. Raka beats his opponent with aggressive power, while Ravi is more calculating than Shamsher. Ravi waits for his opponent to run out of steam before he attacks and finally wins, following Raghubir’s directions.
Dev? What becomes of
Bharti was holding Dev hostage in a basement somewhere else. She reveals a shocking truth, she was behind Gudiya’s death to save her illegal operations. She threatens Joyna’s life and makes Dev confess that he killed Arvind.
Later in police custody, Bharti pretends to be Arvind’s grieving widow and continues to manipulate the investigation. Dev is sent to Kookie by DSP Phogat behind the scenes and is brutally attacked there.
In the consequent confrontation Kookie kills Nihal’s brother Hukum Singh and then turns his attention to Dev. Not willing to die Dev fights back fiercely, bites off Kookie’s ear, steals his gun and manages to escape.
Pre-Final Match: What happens to Ravi?
The night before the championship bout, Ravi gets stabbed in the side. They take him to hospital, where he has emergency surgery. Raghubir accuses Viju at once but Viju denies vehemently his involvement.
Meanwhile Dev finds the men running Bharti’s brothel, kills them and rescues Joyna and Nishi. Before he goes he asks Joyna to warn Ravi of the danger around him.
What happens before Ravi confronts Raka?
Ravi is determined to participate in the final match against Raka despite the serious injury. Raghubir disregards Coach Panicker’s worries and drives him to fight.
Just before the match, Dev comes to expose the truth. But seeing Ravi’s determination and ambition to play for India, Dev decides to keep quiet for now and takes on Raghubir head-on.
Meanwhile, Viju learns that Raka was behind the attack on Ravi, and refuses to help him anymore.
Gudiyaji was killed by Daku Jagat Singh.
One of the most intense moments of the episode has Dev pointing a gun at Raghubir and forcing him into the changing room to get answers.
Finally, Raghubir admits that he gave the order to kill Gudiya. He confesses he felt she was a distraction from Nihal’s Olympic aims and collaborated with Bharti to make the plan a reality. He returned Nishi to Bharti, in return for her help.
Even after Nihal’s death, Raghubir was determined to kill Gudiya. Ravi had returned and this gave him another chance to fulfil his Olympic dream through his son. When Gudiya learned the truth, Raghubir decided that she had to be silenced forever.
What is the ending of Glory Season 1?
Ravi fights through pain and injury to beat Raka in the final match and earn the right to represent India at the Olympics.
Raghubir is proud to say he did all for the family’s legacy as Ravi savours his triumph. Unable to forgive his father’s crimes, Dev points a gun at him and prepares to pull the trigger.
Before he could do anything DSP Phogat and the police arrive to arrest Raghubir.
In the last seconds of the season, Dev squeezes the trigger. And then the screen goes black with a gunshot going off, leaving a big cliffhanger for viewers.
Review of Episode
The final part of Glory is packed with action, emotion and a few surprising twists. The biggest twist – Raghubir being behind Gudiya’s death – adds a darker layer to his obsession with family legacy and Olympic glory.
The episode does a good job on setting up suspense and good acting however some plot points are a little too much. For example, Dev’s fight with Kookie is out of place.
Still, the finale ends the season with high stakes, unanswered questions and enough suspense to leave viewers wondering if there is a second season in the works.
