Filing For Love – K-Drama Episode 3 Recap & Review

Filing for Love Episode 3 opens with Ki-jun receiving an anonymous email that claims I-na is having an illicit affair. The charge strikes him like a bolt of lightning; he is amazed and intrigued.
The office is tense when an employee caught violating company policy begs I-na not to fire him. If emotional appeals don’t work, he resorts to threats and all watching goes silent. Fortunately the confrontation ends without further escalation, business goes on as usual.
The anonymous accusation still rankles and Ki-jun decides to put off his resignation and investigate the allegations against I-na himself. He is apologetic for his past behavior, and is assigned boring tasks like shredding documents. And the humiliation doesn’t stop him, it makes him more determined to find out the truth.
The next day, Ki-jun comes to work with a plan to take down I-na, while Gwang-il goes through his warm and friendly routine of greeting co-workers and helping others around the office. Workplace politics become more intense and their opposing personalities become even more pronounced.
Meanwhile, I-na urges Jae-yeol to consider making the audit team more independent, but he will not back the proposal. Corporate tensions rise as news of Sung-yeol’s return spreads, creating new uncertainty about who will lead the company.
Ki-jun wants to find evidence and secretly follows I-na after work. He follows her into a convenience store, even checks her receipt in the trash, looking for anything suspicious. Instead he sees nothing out of the ordinary, except that I-na seems to eat very little. His exchange with the store clerk only increases his frustration.
Elsewhere, the office gossip takes a darker turn, as Gwang-il’s innocent interaction with the cafeteria employee is spun into a scandal. Human Resources makes a big deal of the situation, spreading rumors of an affair to distract employees from the ongoing power struggle in the company.
Accusations against Gwang-il grow and I-na conducts an investigation and temporarily suspends him from work duties. He insists he did nothing wrong, but even his wife can hardly believe him. He is left alone and humiliated.
Ki-jun keeps an eye on I-na and sees that she is going to an art studio. For the first time he begins to wonder if he has been wrong in his assumptions about her.
After Gwang-il is officially cleared of the affair allegations, I-na discovers that HR deliberately used him as a scapegoat to protect senior executives from criticism. She refuses to stay silent and faces Se-young head on, and their explosive fight soon becomes the latest office sensation.
Later that evening, a former employee comes back to threaten I-na in the parking garage, and Ki-jun saves her. Finally, as he’s tending her injured finger, he admits he misjudged her. I-na says matter-of-factly, “Leadership is about making hard decisions and some people will always misunderstand.”
Their conversation marks a turning point in their relationship as Ki-jun begins to see the person behind I-na’s cold exterior.
The episode ends with Ki-jun once again secretly following I-na to the art studio. He goes inside and wonders what she does there, and finds I-na is working as a nude art model. Both are in shock at the end of the episode.

Episode 3 does a nice job peeling back the tough exterior of I-na and revealing the emotional complexity beneath her strict professional image. She’s built a reputation as an intimidating leader, but this episode makes clear her choices are driven by responsibility, not malice.
Ki-jun’s perspective also begins to shift as he gradually realizes that his assumptions about I-na could have been completely mistaken. The growing emotional tension between them adds yet another compelling layer to the story, suggesting that their rivalry may soon evolve into something more.
