Go For It, Nakamura! Episode 7 begins with students discussing rumors that their school is haunted. One of them dismisses it as harmless gossip but their bravado crumbles when they open a door and find themselves staring at a mysterious shadowy figure. Both girls run away scared not knowing that the “ghost” was actually Nakamura.
It’s the last day of the semester, and the classroom is buzzing with excitement as students prepare for summer break. But Nakamura has more to celebrate. They’ve been through it all and he and Hirose are finally friends.
With their friendship now official, Nakamura finds himself thinking of all the possibilities summer could bring. His mind is full of exciting plans, from beach outings to local festivals. But his reverie is broken when he sees Hirose has already left with Oomori to assist with something else.
Not wanting to let his mood be spoilt by disappointment, Nakamura leaves for the bookstore early. But his peaceful stroll down the hall is suddenly interrupted when Reiko and the Occult Club members spring a trap on him. They drag him to their clubroom, tie him to a cross and before he can react, announce that he will be part of a ritual.
To make things even weirder, Tamura, the president of the AV Club, shows up to research ideas for a horror movie. The moment Tamura sees Nakamura, he knows he’s found the perfect lead actor. His film requires Nakamura’s naturally gloomy aura, he says.
Nakamura is reluctant at first, but all that changes when Hirose arrives with Oomori and several other students who have already agreed to join the project. Seeing how excited Hirose is about his involvement, Nakamura changes his mind and takes the role.
Later that night, the students return to the school to begin filming. Tamura casually drops the fact that he never got permission to use the school after hours, only when everyone’s inside.
The group’s investigation begins in the principal’s office, but strange noises drive them all to flee in terror. One by one, shadowy figures lurking throughout the school “capture” students.
Meanwhile, Nakamura and Hirose check out the science room, another place reportedly haunted. Nakamura quickly discovers that Hirose is easily frightened, and quickly begins to tease him. His goofy behavior works out when Hirose hangs on to Nakamura’s waist for comfort, a moment Nakamura enjoys much more than he’ll admit.
Tamura finally catches up to them and reveals he’s been secretly filming their interactions. Nakamura feels a little embarrassed, but can’t help liking the footage of him and Hirose walking so closely together.
The night is even better for Nakamura as Hirose suddenly grabs his hand out of fear. Nakamura is completely lost. He doesn’t know what the hell is happening.
Finally, the truth about the shadowy figures is revealed. The teachers, Otogiri and Niou, are the “ghosts” that do nightly patrols around the school. They decide to not report the students, but give them a task to complete by the following day.
But for Nakamura, none of it matters. He is too busy reliving every moment he has spent with Hirose.
But as if all of the ghost stories were misunderstandings, Nakamura looks down and sees an invisible hand still holding his hand.
