Perfect Crown is set in modern day South Korea where there is a constitutional monarchy and your social status dictates everything in life. The story is about Seong Hui Ju a rich chaebol heiress who seems to have it all but the royal blood.
By her side is Grand Prince Yi An, a member of the royal family who, despite his title and privilege, lives a quiet and lonely life behind the palace walls.
Their lives take an unexpected turn when the two enter into a contract marriage, wanting to get something the other has. What starts as a well-planned arrangement soon becomes something much more complicated, leading Hui Ju and Yi An to question their lives and the expectations placed upon them. As they get closer, they start to learn who they are when they are not their titles and their duties.
