My Dearest Assassin is the story of Lhan, a young girl born with a super-rare blood type called Aurum blood. This makes her special, a prize for the rich and powerful, who would use her for control and experimentation and profit. From a young age, she becomes a target because of this danger.
Eventually she is rescued by the members of House 89 who save her from Hunter, the assassin originally hired to capture her for the elite. House 89 seems to be an antique and vintage collection business, but it is, in fact, a powerful criminal organization working behind the scenes.
Lhan House 89 Lives in
Lhan is taken to Thailand, placed under tight protection and under house arrest. The world doesn’t know she exists. If it did, it could start a war between powerful factions. Pran is a good fighter, but he hasn’t had much opportunity to practice his skills in the real world—until he is assigned to guard her.
Beside them is M, trained in assassination work, who slowly develops her own fighting skills. Unlike Pran, she actively gains strength, not to depend on others for survival.
Does hunter get aurum blood?
Hunter, the man who killed Lhan’s parents and scarred her with a burn mark on her neck, is still hunting for Aurum blood across the world. Hunter recognizes her distinctive scar and Pran and Lhan’s brief outing confirms her identity.
When confirmed, Lhan is then subjected to a massive attack. Hunter (with the Mala gang) launches a brutal attack on House 89 with bombs and gunfire. In the chaos, Pran’s father blows up House 89 from the inside killing off the rival gang members and leaving a mess behind him.
My Dearest Assassin Ending Explained
The last act is a bloody, emotional showdown. Pran and M are the only survivors from the initial destruction but they are still being hunted by the remaining Mala gang members.
Lhan is shot in the escape. Pran saves her life with an emergency blood transfusion even though he is a hemophiliac, so the act is extremely dangerous for him. M is fighting back enemies at the same time but is finally killed in the battle.
Lhan wakes up in the morning and finds out that Pran has died from blood loss in the transfusion. She survives but at a terrible emotional price.
Lhan Future and Final Twist of (4)
When House 89 falls, Lhan escapes back to Vietnam and lives in hiding. Later she has a son with Pran, the story tells us. This child is born of Aurum blood, and is as precious and as fragile as his mother was.
Lhan raises him alone and starts training him when he is young so he can survive in a dangerous world.
But the ending asks a deeper question: If the child inherits both Aurum blood and Pran’s hemophilia condition, does this create a biological contradiction or weakness? This is left unanswered in the film, suggesting that their bloodline is both a blessing and a curse.
Ultimately, My Dearest Assassin ends on a bittersweet note, where survival comes at the cost of love, safety, and innocence, and Lhan must continue the cycle in a world that will never stop hunting what makes her different.
