
FBI Season 8 Episode 21 – “Long Shot” wastes no time throwing the viewers right into chaos. 🚨 The episode begins with the FBI and SWAT teams engaged in a dramatic shootout as armed suspects barricade themselves inside a building loaded with explosives.
But the situation is far from secure and OA does not want to rush in and risk innocent lives. AIDIC Green wants to breach now, but Isobel trusts OA’s judgement, and the team decides to wait for armored support.
When they finally storm the building … the suspects are long gone. Worse yet, the agents discover a grisly pile of human bones at the scene.
That’s a scary beginning.
🕵️ The Return of the Alameda Underground
The investigation soon links the suspects to the notorious Alameda Underground, a domestic terror group believed to have gone underground in 2012 after several deadly attacks.
Green immediately goes into overdrive. And his first move? Dismissing OA.
On June Taera, widow of the AU’s founder, assigns OA to full-time surveillance duty. Maggie agrees, OA knows it’s personal retaliation instead of smart policing, One silver lining seems to be that OA gets partnered with Zara again. 👀
❤️ Chemistry Sparks Between OA & Zara
And this episode is a treat for fans of OA and Zara. Their chemistry is undeniable from the beginning 🔥
Zara jokes with OA about ghosting on her, and while he tells her he was dealing with the fallout of a long relationship, there’s clearly still a spark between them.
The pair notices something strange while they are monitored. June keeps taking successive showers, even though she’s on dialysis.

OA and Zara plant a listening device in June’s bathroom without Green’s approval and without a warrant.
It’s dangerous… and it almost backfires when June almost catches OA.
Luckily Zara comes to the rescue with a quick thinking ad lib involving a missing cat. 🐱

💔The Sad Story of Darcio
Meanwhile, the team identifies the remains of the skeleton, Ana Montero.
Her husband Darcio tells a heartbreaking truth. Ana gets kidnapped by terrorist leader Hunter Bach and demolition expert Darcio is forced to give him 20 sticks of dynamite.
Darcio did everything he could, he tried to save his wife…only to realize she died anyway. 💔
It’s one of the more emotional moments in the episode.
🔫 FBI Ambush Ends with Unarmed FBI
Darcio is set up in a sting operation. The hope is he can lure Hunter’s crew out in the open.
Instead, things go berserk.
Scola, disguised as Darcio, is seen by Wilson Corya and panics, firing his gun. The FBI kill him but there is no useful intel to be had.
Back to square one. 😬😬
💥 The Real Target Revealed
Elise follows Wilson’s trail in the ongoing investigation, leading agents to an independent magazine.
Initially, the team suspects that the publication is helping the terrorists.
Wrong.
The building is wired with explosives 💥
Luckily Scola spots the bomb just in time and saves another tragedy.
🎰 The X-Probable Connspiracy
The biggest twist of the episode is when the FBI learns June’s real motive.
She’s been using an online betting site called X-Probable to profit off of terror. 😳
June and her crew are cooking the books and cashing in on the chaos, orchestrating murders and bombings.
That explains the dead CEO.
That’s why the bombing.
And that exposes the next target…
🏃 Marathon in Danger
The terror group wants to strike a local marathon full of civilians.
Thanks to June’s secret calls, OA and Zara locate the target zone just in time.
Eva manages to stop Mike before he can detonate the explosive saving countless lives. 🙌

An even bigger shock twist comes when OA and Zara move in to arrest June.
Now X-Probable users are betting on whether June is arrested alive… or dead. 😨
Hunter and other gunmen attack June’s house, attempting to murder their own ally for profit.
June can’t believe her partners betrayed her for money.
A huge gun fight breaks out and OA almost dies before Maggie and the team come in to save the day.
⚖️ Zara Makes a Lot of Sacrifices
But when the case is over, Zara does something amazing.
She takes full responsibility for putting the illegal bug in June’s bathroom, protecting OA’s record.
Her actions merit an OPR misconduct referral, but she doesn’t hesitate.
This is loyalty. ❤️
Review of Episode
Long Shot has everything fans love about FBI: action, emotional stakes, shocking twists and character development. 🎬
Green continues to prove he could be a real problem for the team. His ego-driven decisions nearly risked lives, and his obsession with authority is becoming difficult to ignore.
On the flip side, OA and Zara are still shining together. Their chemistry is natural, emotional, and honestly…fans deserve to see where this relationship could go. 💕
