Their conversation attempts to link Victor’s success to Vernon’s influence, drawing a line between the two soap worlds. The interaction might please longtime viewers but it does little to impact the larger story happening around them.
The country club fundraiser is the central gathering point of the crossover. Old faces show up, alliances are made and tensions bubble under the surface.
However, many of the visiting characters act more as guest appearances than active participants. Their role is mostly social interactions and brief conversations, rather than meaningful contributions to the main storyline.
So the crossover tends to come across more as a nostalgic nod to soap history than an essential chapter in the story.# Fairmont Crest Thrown Into Chaos By Tornado

The acting in these scenes is some of the best of the week, turning a long-standing rivalry into something surprisingly touching.
Jacob and Izaiah find the trapped women but have trouble getting to them because of the rubble blocking the way.# Kyle and Hayley Are Trapped Together
Over in another room, Hayley and Kyle are trapped in the storm after flirting most of the evening.
Their attraction grows stronger, leading to a kiss as they wait for help.
Things get even more complicated when Hayley finally admits that she’s married. The confession does little to halt the growing chemistry between them, despite the revelation.
Secrets keep on coming out and the storyline looks like it’s going to introduce some big complications for the future.## Dani Makes a Terrible Mistake
The most controversial development of the week is Dani.
During the disaster, she is trapped in an elevator with Bill and seems at first intent on keeping her distance from her ex-partner. Considering everything they’ve been through together, many viewers expected her to be hard-nosed.
