Alpha struggles at first to get a flame big enough to shoot their arrow of fire. Time is running out and the pressure is on but Leiya and Nikki finally get the fire going. Their successful shot means Alpha gets a spot in the final race and Team Charlie is out of the competition.
Charlie isn’t taking the loss well. The team is upset that they are being eliminated and they blow up most of their camp gear as they leave, hoping the other competitors will not be able to use anything they leave behind. In fact the move does not change the outcome of the game .# The last challenge unveiled
Shortly after Charlie leaves, the other two teams are ambushed with a supply drop. Inside is a compass and instructions for the last challenge.
It is a simple task, but an enormously difficult one. The teams have to go deep into the jungle for two days and find a waterfall where they have to get a key and proceed towards a final destination where the winner will be decided.
The challenge is a race from opposite ends of the jungle that forces both teams to deal with difficult terrain, changing weather conditions and physical exhaustion.
At the waterfall the competitors will be given the key and a second map leading to the last stage of the competition.## Leiya’s Uncertain Future
One of the biggest storylines of the episode is Leiya. Weeks in the wilderness and her damaged feet and lack of proper footwear become a serious issue.
She recognizes her disability and requests aid from Team Bravo. Pharaoh agrees to lend her a pair of shoes after some discussion. He feels the final race should be decided fairly.
The gesture lets Leiya go on, but questions remain about whether she can keep up with her teammates physically.## The Jungle’s Hard Road
The final race takes place after a huge storm overnight leaves the jungle soaked and even more difficult to get around.

Alpha has the next set of directions and he moves forward towards the final checkpoint , Bravo still chasing from behind .# Team Alpha Has a Merciless Option
Race goes on and Leiya’s condition deteriorates. Her teammates understand that they might have to make some tough decisions to hold onto their lead.
Eventually Alpha decides to go on without her. Leiya says her foot injury is painful and the terrain is brutal, and she can’t keep up. But the team thinks they can’t afford any more delays.
Not long after, she makes her exit from the competition, bowing out of Outlast just a few steps from the finish line.## The Final $1 Million Stretch
In the final leg of the challenge, both teams must canoe across the bay to a smoke signal.
Once there, competitors must find buried chests, using ropes attached to hidden markers. Then you use the key you got earlier to open the chest. The first team to light the green flare inside wins.
Team Alpha is the first to the beach, but disaster almost strikes when they briefly lose their key. The error costs valuable time and Bravo hope of a comeback.
Fortunately for Alpha, they recover fast enough to hold onto their lead.
A few moments later the green flare illuminated.
