Elliot continues his adventure in the Kingdom of Huther, after defeating the Greatsword Guardian and escaping the Unexplored Ruins. New challenges await, including the mysterious Mist Ruins, valuable Magicite upgrades, hidden collectibles and another Guardian standing in your way.
This guide will take you through everything you need to complete this section of the game, whether it’s unlocking new abilities, finding each Adventurer, or completing important side quests.## Go to the Magicite Merchant
Back in Huther, something in the story forces Elliot to visit the Magicite Merchant in town.
The merchant sells you 5 Magicite Fragments, and introduces you to one of the most important systems of progression in the game. Magicite lets players customize Elliot with combat bonuses, weapon upgrades, passive buffs and more battle techniques.
You can craft Magicite using the Form system. Magicite Abilities Cost Capacity Points Upgrade the capacity of your Magicite Box to equip more upgrades at once . Tul can be used to purchase capacity upgrades.
The more Magicite you forge, the higher your Form level will become. Higher Form levels increase the chances of stronger and higher quality Magicite.
Create your first Magicite to unlock the First Generation achievement.
After you’re finished, exit through the northern gate by the castle and start your journey to the Mist Ruins.# The Mist Destruction.
From the guidepost outside the castle follow the western path and head northwest through Neverwither.
Before entering the dungeon, open the chest south of the entrance to get Shield Repair.
The Mist Ruins has a similar look to previous dungeons, but the layout is far more complex with hidden rewards, puzzle rooms and several levels to explore.
Go north and you will find a door with a Blue Key on it. For now, ignore them and keep following the main path until you find the Blue Mist Ruins Key beyond some dangerous platforms.
Use the key to open the sealed passage and go further into the ruins.# Arrow Trap Puzzle Solution
Further into the dungeon, you’ll find a puzzle room guarded by arrow traps.
Go round the central pillar to dodge the projectiles. Place the pedestal in the path of the arrows to make a safe crossing.
Go over, and then put the pedestal on the glowing red tile. Here we find a treasure chest containing Interceptor.
Head south and take the nearby ladder up and drop down into Mist Ruins – Sublevel One# Mist Ruins All Adventurer Locations

Don’t forget to speak to each Adventurer before moving on.# Treasure Chests of Importance
There are a few valuable treasures to be found throughout the dungeon:
- Shield Fixes
- Interceptor
- Counterattack Guard
Life Shard - Blue Mist Ruins Key
- Red Mist Destroys Key *
One useful reward in particular is Guard Counter, which you can get by heading to the upper level and opening the chest past the platform section.## How to Get the Red Mist Ruins Key
You will come to a room with pillars and moving platforms deep into Sublevel Two.
Go to the northwest corner, there is a small platform alignment puzzle Place the platforms in the correct order, then cross to the treasure chest with the Red Mist Ruins Key.
Before you move on, check the nearby balcony and lower area for a Shard of Life, in another chest.
Activate the pressure plate nearby and create a shortcut before going back to the locked red door.
Rest at the Adventuring Guidepost and prepare for the boss encounter in the dungeon.## Guide to the Great Bow Guardian Boss
The Great Bow Guardian is much like the previous Greatsword Guardian fight, except that it focuses a lot more on ranged attacks.
Luckily the boss is slow and can be staggered with constant damage. ### The Best Strategy
The Boomerang is one of the most deadly weapons in this fight. Its range allows you to pressure the boss and avoid incoming attacks safely.
Pay particular attention to:
- Charged shots that go in a straight line
- Triple arrow strikes on large sections of the arena
- Ranged attacks randomly burst when directly in front of the boss
The safest opening is immediately after the Guardian’s triple shot attack. When the animation is finished, charge in and get a few quick hits then back out.
Remember that Elliot can heal with the ability to recover mapped to LB/L1. The fight is much easier than it looks if you use healing properly.
Defeat the Guardian to earn extra Magicite Fragments and progress the story.# Return to Huther and Ancient Relics
After the battle, head north into the newly accessible hallway.
Open chest inside to collect:
- Historical Artifact
- Old Key
Take these things and return to the Kingdom of Huther, then go to the Throne Room to start the next story sequence.
In this chapter, we also introduce the game’s side quest system, which offers optional rewards that can significantly enhance your equipment.# Quest Guide## The old trusty bow

Beat ten outside of town and come back for Short Bow. Reaching this point will also unlock the Problem Solver achievement.## A Spear of Old
In the basement of the castle, speak with Euygene.
Travel to Eddartrayl and kill flame enemies until you get 3 Flamestones. Return them for the Sapling Lance.### Adoration in the Wind

Go to the desert Eddartrayl, destroy cacti and collect Prickly Pear Flesh. Return the item to earn 300 Tul. ## To the Ruins of the Doorway

Elliot is sent to the Doorway Ruins to find Minister Kaifried, as a new mission is imminent.
