Bloodhounds Episode 2 Gun-woo and Woo-jin tell the police about the kidnapping at the start of Season 2. A police officer tells Detective Choi Gyeong-won that someone has messed with the CCTV footage from around the house. So-yeon gets medical help for her injuries.
Gun-woo and Woo-jin say that Baek-yeong had threatened them before, forcing Gun-woo to join his illegal boxing club. Gun-woo is also worried about Adik’s disappearance and thinks Baek-yeong and his friends might be involved.
The police tell the group to move to a safer place. So, Gun-woo, Woo-jin, and So-yeon move into Tae-yeong’s apartment.
Gyeong-won, on the other hand, looks into a burned car that is linked to the case and finds that a homemade bomb was put inside and set off with a phone. Authorities think that someone who knows a lot about explosives probably made the device. Gyeong-won finds a burned wallet at the scene that has a business card for bodyguard So Jin-nam in it.
Woo-jin tells Tae-yeong to look into IKFC, the underground fight club that Baek-yeong is connected to, when they are at her apartment. At first, Tae-yeong can’t find anything, but he eventually finds a secret website on the dark web. She shows video of a previous match, which shows how brutal the fights were. When she tries to find out more about an upcoming match, she runs into a paywall and warns the group about the dangers of giving out personal financial information on these kinds of sites. Gun-woo says to get a mule card, you should get in touch with Woo-jin’s old Marine senior, Mr. Moon Gwang-mu.
Sergeant Yun and Allen watch the group from outside Tae-yeong’s apartment and then start following Woo-jin.
In a different story, In-beom takes a pill that Mr. Lee sends him and soon has a bad reaction. The ambulance driver attacks a guard and changes the course of the vehicle to Mr. Lee’s hideout while prison guards try to take him to the hospital. A doctor gives In-beom an antidote there, bringing him back to life. Mr. Lee tells In-beom who he is and that he can’t leave. When In-beom fights back, he beats up a few guards before Baek-yeong steps in and brutally stops him.
Woo-jin talks to Gwang-mu about Baek-yeong and the fight club. Gwang-mu agrees to help by giving them a mule card and says he will join their fight. Gwang-mu confirms his theory that Woo-jin is being followed and tracks the car that is following him, which belongs to Sergeant Yun.
Gwang-mu tells Woo-jin to get the others out of there when he realizes their location has been compromised. Gun-woo asks Min-beom for help because he doesn’t have many options. Min-beom’s assistant finds a safe place for So-yeon and Tae-yeong to stay at one of his hotels. Gun-woo then rides his motorcycle to help Woo-jin and Gwang-mu.
In the meantime, Sergeant Yun calls Baek-yeong and suggests going after Woo-jin instead of So-yeon, thinking it will put just as much pressure on Gun-woo. Baek-yeong agrees and tells Mr. Lee to send more fighters.
Yun finally gets Woo-jin and Gwang-mu to come to an empty yard, where they get into a fight. When Yun can’t beat Woo-jin, he uses knives to hurt him badly. When reinforcements arrive, Yun and Allen pull back and start looking for Gun-woo or his family instead. When they fail, Yun tells Baek-yeong, who threatens his daughter if he doesn’t do better next time.
Gun-woo gets to the yard not long after and sees that Woo-jin and Gwang-mu are badly hurt. He fights off the last attackers and takes them to the hospital, which ends the episode.

Bloodhounds’ second season doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with the first season’s level of intensity and execution. Gun-woo and Woo-jin’s bond is still a strong emotional core, but the overall sense of danger seems to have lessened.
Baek-yeong, who is the main villain, hasn’t really shown himself to be a real threat yet, except for trying to get Gun-woo to join his illegal fight club. Because of this, the stakes don’t seem as high as they did before.
There are still a few episodes left, and some familiar allies are starting to show up again. This could help the story gain momentum. At this point, though, the season doesn’t have the same sense of urgency and impact that made the first season so interesting.
