Margo’s Got Money Troubles – Season 1 Episode 6 Recap & Review

Margo’s Got Money Troubles Episode 6 starts with Margo creating new content for her OnlyFans. She comes up with a creative alien story for her “Hungry Ghost” persona and asks Susie to work with her on it. Margo is seeking to broaden her audience by focusing on platforms such as TikTok to drive more traffic and exposure.
She sets all of her social media accounts to private in order to protect her identity. Over the next few weeks, Margo brings together Jinx, Susie, and Bodhi to meet KC and Rose as she continues to work on her idea. For Hungry Ghost, her approach is to reframe her as an alien who was misunderstood and left behind on Earth, and use her perception of the world as a tool to shape her own narrative.
In the meantime, Kenny and Shayanne are away on their honeymoon. Kenny is still in that newlywed bliss and Shayanne seems to be more and more distant and uninterested.
Back with Margo’s project, Jinx, Susie and the gang help her bring her skits to life. Even if that isn’t the career path he envisioned for her, Jinx is proud to see Margo writing again.
Like any social media platform, TikTok growth is slow at first for Margo. But her consistent grind begins to pay off, earning her more eyes on her OnlyFans page. Eventually her videos start going viral, especially her dance skits.
Meanwhile, Mark gets a restraining order against Jinx. Margo’s angry that her dad’s stuck his oar in, and Jinx vows to sort it out. Later he asks Lace for advice at her office. Lace asks about his health, and tells him he must obey the order.
During the conversation, Jinx tells her he’s struggling with addiction, Shayanne’s wedding and his rocky relationship with Margo. It is also insinuated that he and Lace have a history.
Jinx stays busy with holiday decorations, but the tension between Margo and Shayanne remains high. Margo sends Shayanne a picture of herself and Bodhi over text but the relationship remains cold.
Margo is out with her friend Becca who’s visiting for the holidays on New Year’s Eve. She asks Susie, but Susie won’t. At the party, Margo bumps into old friends, who are surprised to learn that she has a child.
Margo incorporates her Hungry Ghost persona while dancing. Some men know her online persona and start messaging and giving her financial advice, even asking her to perform privately. Overwhelmed, Margo ducks into the restroom and texts Jinx to come get her.
Becca calls Margo out for doing porn. Outside, Becca criticizes her choices, saying she’s selfish and doesn’t listen. The situation becomes worse. What Margo needs is support, not judgment, she says.
Jinx walks in on Becca saying mean things about Margo’s personal life, and things are getting heated. He steps in and they leave together.
On the ride, Jinx comforts Margo, saying that her OnlyFans alter ego has become an internet sensation. Shayanne has also contacted and found him. He suggests they go see Shayanne and Kenny the next morning and get things straightened out in person.
That night, when Margo scrolls through negative comments after her identity is exposed online, she is met with scathing public judgment.
Next morning Jinx and Margo go to see Shayanne and Kenny. Shayanne is angry and ashamed that explicit images are being posted and linked to Margo’s account. Jinx defends Margo and attempts to put things in perspective.
Kenny walks in . To his surprise , he responds more understandingly than expected . He apologizes to Margo for what she is going through, and recognizes the breach of her privacy. He offers support but trying to compare the situation to a biblical story doesn’t resonate with Margo.
Driving back, Jinx is overcome with emotion and pulls over for a moment to compose himself.
Meanwhile, Mark’s mom makes him get ahead of the story before Margo does more damage to his reputation. Mark admits that he has already told his wife everything and she has left him.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger with Margo served with custody papers. Mark wants full custody of Bodhi and claims Margo is an unfit mother.
Episode Review
Ironically Mark is now looking to have full custody when he didn’t even want anything to do with Bodhi’s life. Earlier he and his mother had put pressure on Margo to sign an NDA to protect his reputation. Now they’re trying to use her OnlyFans career against her, proving they care less about the child and more about image control.
The episode also increases the tension between Margo and Shayanne. But Margo is trying to live an open and honest life, and Shayanne wants to keep up appearances, not face uncomfortable truths. It produces a distinct ideological split between them.
Shayanne’s criticism of Margo also seems hypocritical in light of her own history and her attempt at a polished new life with Kenny. Her discomfort seems more a fear of judgment than a real concern.
In general, the episode highlights the stigma of Margo’s new career. People around her gradually dehumanize her, reducing her to assumptions about her worth and morality. That same judgement is used against her in the custody battle. It shows how quickly reputation of a person can be weaponised in both public and private life.
