The Boys returns after the explosive events of Season 4 and a shocking cliffhanger that saw Butcher turn on his own team while Homelander and Sister Sage tighten their grip on government control.
Season 5: One year has passed. Now Annie and her band of vigilantes, the Starlighters, are wanted terrorists. Annie is left to fight alone trying to hold onto hope, while Butcher sets out on a dangerous mission of his own creating a virus that could kill every supe including Homelander.
But things get worse when Homelander starts going after MM, Frenchie and Hughie, who are being held in internment camps. forces Butcher to track down Annie and Kimiko as tensions rise on both sides.
Meanwhile, Homelander becomes obsessed with finding V1, the first version of Compound V. If he succeeds, he could become immortal, impervious to any threat including Butcher’s virus. To do so he even teams up with his father Soldier Boy, despite their violent past.
The series still has an impressive cast that includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Susan Heyward and Jensen Ackles. It’s created by Eric Kripke, the guy who made Supernatural.
