Kiyotaka Ayanokoji starts his second year at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, where reputation, strategy, and results are everything.
Ayanokoji is still going through a very competitive system where students are ranked and harshly punished for their performance, along with Suzune Horikita and the rest of Class D. But this time, the problems are even worse.
A new group of first-year students brings with them new friends and new dangers. The first special exam puts them in a high-stakes written test with second-year students. If they fail, they could be kicked out of school. At the same time, rumors start to spread that a student from the White Room is hiding among the new students, which adds to the tension.
Ayanokoji has to carefully balance manipulation, strategy, and survival in a system where trust is hard to come by and every move has consequences.
