Filing for Love Episode 4 Scene 1 Recap In episode 4 of Filing for Love, Ki-jun learns that I-na is posing nude at an art studio. He rushes away, completely shocked, trying to comprehend what he has just seen.
The next day at Haemu, Jae-yeol introduces James, an overseas AI specialist brought in to help modernize the company. He thinks James can be a big part of taking Haemu to the next level.
After the awkward meeting with I-na, Ki-jun thinks it would be wise to keep his distance, but the world has other plans. I-na has him bring her coffee and they get stuck in the elevator together, another awkward but definitely tense moment for them.
Meanwhile the company’s politics are becoming more intense. Office workers openly debate whose side they should be on, turning the office into a battlefield while Jae-yeol and Sung-yeol fight for their father’s approval.
Meanwhile, I-na finds out an investigation has been passed on to a junior employee at Haemu Electronics in Jeju. She decides to personally handle the case and volunteers to take the lead, choosing Ki-jun as her partner.
I-na doesn’t tell you about the incident in the art studio during their trip to Jeju. They start their investigation as soon as they arrive, and almost immediately focus on junior engineer Lim Ha-kyong, who seems nervous and uncooperative, especially when James is around.
Before long, Ki-jun and I-na realize that something much darker is going on behind the scenes. Ha-kyong looks frightened and won’t speak freely, even though Ki-jun tries to reassure her.
Back in Seoul the audit team gets a rare breather, and Sung-yeol arranges a team dinner. Unexpectedly, Jae-yeol chooses to go with them and this causes tension between the staff as each executive has very different preferences.
In Jeju, I-na gets close to James, who seems to trust her, but is actually collecting evidence. Ki-jun first misreads her motives, but he soon sees that she is merely doing her job.
In the course of the investigation, I-na and Ki-jun follow James to a hotel, suspecting that he might try to intimidate or hurt Ha-kyong. They pose as a couple, book the room next to his, and wait for the right time to jump in.
They wait, and finally open up to each other. “Modeling helps me escape from the stress of my corporate life and gives me a sense of freedom,” I-na explains. Ki-jun blushes and struggles to hide his growing attraction.
Their chemistry changes as playful teasing morphs into an intimate and emotionally charged moment, but they are interrupted by Ha-kyong’s appearance in James’s room.
When James starts to threaten Ha-kyong, I-na and Ki-jun jump in quickly. I-na physically fights James, rescues Ha-kyong, and empowers her to finally speak the truth.
The following day James’ office is cleared out, and the investigation looks to be a success. But the trouble continues when I-na shares everything with Jae-yeol and his response hints at more problems within the company.
As Ki-jun and I-na return to Seoul, their professional relationship has visibly grown much more personal.
The episode closes out with one of the most iconic moments of the season. Ki-jun goes to the art studio, sketches I-na quietly, and finally tells her how beautiful he thinks she is. Their emotional tension reaches its breaking point and they share a passionate kiss that changes everything.
Review of Episode
Episode 4 takes Filing for Love into far more emotional territory. Ki-jun and I-na’s connection feels natural and their attraction feels real and grown up.
The Jeju investigation adds real suspense while also revealing James to be one of the more disturbing antagonists of the season. One of the shows strengths is still its ability to balance workplace drama, mystery and romance.
The last scene is a crucial turning point for Ki-jun and I-na. It seems like the show is ready to fully commit to their romance, as their emotional walls are finally coming down.
Meanwhile, A-jeong’s feelings about Jae-yeol are still complicated, and it remains to be seen if that storyline will result in something meaningful or problematic.
One of the strongest episodes of the season so far, Episode 4 delivers romance, tension and character development.
