has quickly become one of the best slice of life K-dramas of the year with its emotionally grounded storytelling, multi-faceted characters and the return of the writer behind **. With the increasing popularity of the show, a lot of fans are now asking the big question — will We Are All Trying Here be back for Season 2?
Here’s what we’ve learned so far.
What is we all trying here about?
The story is about a bunch of driven people who work in the cutthroat film industry, each one fighting their own insecurities, professional setbacks and personal struggles.
The story revolves around Hwang Dong-man, an aspiring filmmaker who has not made his official directorial debut but continues to fight to maintain his passion and creative identity.
He is surrounded by equally interesting characters, from the loud-mouthed producer Byeon Eun-a, whose confidence hides deeper insecurities, to director Park Gyeong-se, who is still trying to get over a painful career setback.
As their paths continue to cross, professional rivalries heat up, hidden emotions surface and relationships are strained to the breaking point.

Is We Are All Trying Here Coming Back for Season 2?
** has not been officially renewed by JTBC for Season 2.
The future of the show is uncertain, there hasn’t even been a cancellation announcement.
As far as ratings are concerned, the drama has been doing consistently throughout its run. It debuted to a solid national rating of 2.1%, and the numbers have been steadily climbing week after week, with later episodes reaching about 3.8% nationally. That kind of steady growth is always a good sign and indicates the series has been able to create a loyal audience.
But ratings alone are not always a guarantee for a second season — especially in the world of Korean dramas.
Is There Going to Be a Season 2?
Most Korean dramas are traditionally produced as one-season stories. Multi-season K-dramas are becoming more common in recent years but they are still the exception rather than the rule.
Another consideration is the cast and creative team. With such a talented pool of actors and creators involved, it’s very likely that many already have future projects in the works, which could make scheduling a second season quite the challenge.
We are currently tracking the information to see if and when ** will be renewed for Season 2.
We’ll update this page with the latest info, of course, when JTBC makes an official announcement.
What do we know about season 2 till now?
At this point there is almost nothing known about a potential second season.
That’s not surprising because most Korean dramas traditionally tell complete stories in one season. That model has been helped to change by streaming platforms, but renewals are still relatively rare.
But there have been exceptions worth noting. Popular dramas such as **, **, **, and ** all came back for more seasons.
Could take the same route?
Probably not at the moment, but anything can happen in the ever-changing world of K-dramas.
Stay tuned as we will update this article as soon as we get more information.
