Barkha Confronts Brij Over His Lies
At home, things get tense when Barkha confronts Brij about coming home late. She talks about a bad news story about him and says he lied. Brij says that keeping her away from his illegal activities is the only way he can protect her.
Brij Struggles at Gulrukh’s High-Class Party
Brij gets ready to go to a party that Gulrukh is throwing later. He feels out of place and nervous about pitching his Matka business to a group of rich people. Gulrukh introduces him to her high-class friends at the party, but Brij has a hard time connecting. He goes to the bathroom because he’s feeling overwhelmed, and Gulrukh tries to cheer him up. Even though she was there for him, he ends up leaving early, leaving Gulrukh to run the business by herself.
Gulrukh Confronts Brij but Accepts His Proposal
The next day, Gulrukh goes to Brij’s stall and confronts him about leaving her, but she still gives him his share of the money. Brij gets an idea at this point: he asks Gulrukh to be his business partner. He tells her to deal with important clients while he deals with workers and local gamblers.
The Rise of Matka Sangam
Brij starts to grow quickly with this new partnership. He puts up a lot of Matka stalls in different areas and sets up a centralized system where he controls the winning numbers. He chooses the numbers every day and gives them to all the stall owners, making sure that the results are the same all over the country. He calls this system “Sangam.”
Brij Builds a Powerful Gambling Empire
In two years, Matka Sangam becomes a huge business. Brij bribes the police and labor unions to keep his empire safe and make sure everything goes smoothly. At the same time, journalist TP D’souza realizes that his story hasn’t made much of a difference. At a press conference with politician Prataprao Bapat, he talks about how worried he is about gambling getting out of control.
Political Interest in Brij’s Operations
Later, Bapat meets TP alone to talk about betting on Matka and the racecourse. But he loses interest when he finds out that Brij is not a typical gangster but just a regular guy making his own system.
Lachu’s Risky Encounter with Vasudha
Lachu also flirts with a college student named Vasudha while she is smoking with her friends. When a teacher catches her, she blames Lachu, which makes him panic and run away. The next day, Vasudha tries to make things right by saying sorry over tea.
Family Tensions and Business Conflicts
Barkha’s father comes to visit her at home and talks to Brij about how his farming business isn’t doing well. He is having trouble with money, so he asks Brij to help him set up a Matka stall in his hometown. Brij says no because he doesn’t want to risk his reputation by getting family involved. Dagdu and Lachu fight over differences in the accounts around the same time.
Barkha Faces Social Pressure
Women in the chawl make fun of Barkha for Brij’s illegal work, which puts social pressure on her. She tells him what’s wrong. Brij takes her out in response and tells her to dress nicely. They get in their car and drive to a racecourse, where Brij introduces her to Laljibhai. The meeting goes well, and Brij uses the time to show Barkha that his business has earned him respect among the rich.
Brij Draws a Line with Family
Brij and Barkha take her father to the bus station the next day. Brij gives him money but strongly tells him to stay away from the Matka business.
A Raid is Being Planned
Prataprao Bapat is also thinking about doing something about Brij. He is planning a raid on Brij’s house to find hidden income. At the same time, Laljibhai, who turns out to be Vasudha’s father, meets with Lachu in secret and tries to get him to turn on Brij.
Lachu Betrays Brij
The episode ends on a tense note when Lachu changes the winning numbers at his stall to help Laljibhai, and Dagdu starts to notice problems with the accounts.
Episode 3 Review: Cracks Begin to Show
This episode hints at possible problems between Brij and his close friends, especially Lachu. His growing bond with Vasudha and his willingness to play the system show that trouble is coming. Brij doesn’t trust his brother, and Lachu’s actions only make that doubt stronger.
