Welcome back to Replaced. After a quick trip back to the Safe Zone, Chapter 8 takes you deeper into the city, where you will meet new people, find collectibles that you might miss, and face a mix of exploration and platforming challenges.
This guide shows you how to finish the chapter without missing any important items, puzzles, or objectives. If you go too far, you may permanently lock many items, so make sure to look around before moving on.
Chapter 8 Rooftop Walkthrough and First Collectibles
You start on the roofs. Go to the end and use the yellow gutter to drop down to the ground below. Look at the shutters to get the “Project Havoc” flyer for Scan #90.
Next, go right and move the big wooden box to the left side, past the flyer. This lets you climb up the metal bars at the back and get to a higher level.
Go back to the rooftops after talking to the people nearby and finding a node that can be hacked. Use the air conditioning unit to get to the node and hack it.
Now that the traffic light is on, go back to the crowd and stay close to avoid the turret. Go across the street safely.
To get Scan #91: “Feather Squad” Movie Poster, look at the sign on the left near the movie theater.
Round Table Music Store Guide and Hidden Tracks
The Round Table Music Store is now open. In the Classic section on the right, grab Music Track #12: Alone in a Crowd.
Before you go, look at the poster next to the counter to unlock Scan #92: Veronica’s Concert Poster.
Talk to the guy by the Sale rack, and then look through the Pop and Rock sections. Then, talk to the clerk and choose “Rust.”
Go back to the Classic section to get Music Track #13: Rust.
Technician Mission Locations and Turret Strategy
Leave the store and go toward the police roadblock. After you meet the Lead Technician, you’ll need to find four other technicians.
There is one technician in the music store. If you haven’t already, talk to him.
To avoid the turret, stay close to crowds as you move through the area. After it passes, go down the steps by the Phoenix Fashion Store.
There is another technician close to the Food Vault. Hack the console next to him so he can get his drink and keep going.
All Collectibles Sweep and Hidden Interactions
At the newsstand nearby, interact with all of the options to unlock:
Scan #93: A forecast for the weather
Scan #94: Article about the election
Scan #95: PCPD Celebration
To unlock Scan #96: How to Deal with a Loss, go outside the Donation Office and talk to the man there.
Talk to the Troubled Technician at the end. After that, go back up the stairs and jump over the gap on the left.
Use your Pickaxe to swing across the lights and get to a secret alcove above.
Sewer Detour Walkthrough and Secret Items
To get into a fight area, drop into the vents. Get rid of the enemies, then go left to get Scan #97: Bodycam Footage.
Go up the stairs in the back and break into the wall console. Talk to the Shady Technician inside and go through all of your options.
Go back and drop into the vents again, then go down into the sewer system.
Go to the right and follow the yellow pipe. Put the air conditioner on the edge of the platform and use it to climb up. Go through the platforming part, which includes going through a narrow pipe.
Go left after you drop down to turn off a valve. At the end of this path, pick up Scan #98: Central Tower Mini-Model.
Go back and follow the main path to the right.
Dep 311 Lower Section Upgrades and Items
You will go down to a lower area called Dep 311.
To get Rechargeable Ampoule #3, move the air conditioning unit all the way to the right.
Move it a little to the left and climb the ladder into the vents, which will take you to another room inside.
Near the hacking terminal, pick up Scan #99: Commercial Clinic Leaflet. Then hack the queue system.
Go back to the vertical room. On the left side, squeeze through a small opening and go around the steam pipes.
To get Genetic Profile #9, drop between the two yellow ladders.
Go back and move the air conditioner to get out of the sewers.
Returning to Technicians and Turret Puzzle Solution
To start a cutscene, go back to the Troubled Technician. Once you have all the technicians, go back to the Lead Technician who is near the diner.
She will keep the guards busy so you can move a wheeled container past the turret.
Do what she says, but instead of staying below, climb up on the container and get to the scaffolding on the left.
At the end, pick up Music Track #14: Dusk.
Warren Apartment Walkthrough and Computer Clues
Use the air conditioning unit to climb up and across the scaffolding. You will eventually get to Warren’s apartment.
To unlock Music Track #15: Stranger in the Mirror, go to the computer monitor on the back wall and interact with it.
Use the computer next to you, then leave and answer the phone to talk to Steven. Go back and look over all of the computer entries.
Safe Puzzle Solution and Code Answer
Look around the apartment for clue words:
Noir Shelf
Vinyl Player: Replacement
Birthday Photo Frame
Flowerpot: Kilns
Plate Shelf: Cayenne
To get to the safe, you need to interact with the TV.
The right mix:
Cayenne for a Birthday
When you open the safe, R.E.A.C.H comes back and a cutscene plays.
Final Train Sequence and Chapter Ending
At the end of the chapter, there is a movie-like fight scene on a speeding train. After the action is over, the story moves on to the next part, where Reach gets ready for the last attack.
