Ki Su-jong is the main character in the comedy thriller Mad Concrete Dreams. He finally achieves his dream of owning a building, but only after going into a lot of debt. He thinks that being a landlord will help him with his money problems, but his plan falls apart when an international investment firm steps in and almost takes his property away from him.

Su-jong gets involved in a scheme to fake the kidnapping of his best friend because he is desperate to protect both his family and his investment. What starts out as a desperate plan quickly gets out of hand and becomes a very real and dangerous criminal situation.
