Flunked, Season 2, Episode 2 Eddy throws his bag over the school gates and runs through. A security guard tries to warn him, hiding but Eddy ignores the warning and continues. As soon as he is inside the building, it seems eerily empty until he looks into a classroom and sees students and teachers crouched under their desks.
Тhіngs gеt tеnsе whеn Еddу sееs а mаsкеd реrsоn wіth а bаsеbаll bаt. He goes back to a washroom, finds a girl hiding there and uses her as bait. Eddy attacks the masked person who is coming towards him, only to discover that it is a safety drill simulating a terrorist threat. The masked figure is revealed as Viviane.
The aftermath is a shitshow. Viviane is taken to the lounge for treatment, and Eddy is called to the principal’s office. Tiphaine is angry. “Did you even read the notices from the school?” she asks Eddy. She tells him to get serious about his responsibilities, and he just brushes her off, which makes her more upset. Meanwhile the teachers are annoyed knowing they’ll have to repeat the disrupted drill.
Viviane is limping but insists on carrying on with her duties including making a crumble for the retiring art teacher, Corinne. Soon she is dragged away by Pablo for help. Somewhere else, Eddy asks Gilbert about Tiphaine’s private life. He’s thrilled to learn she’s single, but Gilbert isn’t shy about reminding him that being a substitute teacher doesn’t automatically make him faculty.
Meanwhile, Pablo and Viviane are trying to figure out how to use Parcoursup, the system students use to plan their futures after graduation. Eddy connects this to his investigation, thinking that Sagirov’s kid might not have turned in their information because they have plans to extract them. When Sagirov contacted his ex, cell towers in the area were activated, narrowing the list of potential students to 13, Lucie said.
Since Lucie is unable to log into the system remotely, Eddy decides to hack it himself. That means he gets into the principal’s office. He befriends the janitor, Brigitte, artfully winning her confidence before stealing her keys. Eddy sneaks into Tiphaine’s office and manages to avoid getting caught several times, even hiding under her desk while she finishes up her work, to a song that has meaning for the two of them.
The following day is a mess. Eddy’s clumsy closing of the computer deletes some of the Parcoursup data, but validates the rest. With final exams just weeks away, students’ records have to be re-entered by hand putting huge pressure on staff and students. Angry parents demand answers and Tiphaine is struggling to keep the situation under control, becoming more and more suspicious of Eddy, who protests his innocence.
The students are nervous in class but Eddy tries to calm them down. He also makes peace with Kylian, whom he had punched before. Meanwhile, Tiphaine questions everyone who has access to her office. The janitor says she lost her keys but Eddy secretly puts them back in her stuff so she isn’t suspected. Things take a turn for the worse when Tiphaine calls the police.
Eddy phones Lucie and asks her to handle the police in Lille but she reminds him that only she and a judge know his secret identity. Their conversation soon becomes another personal argument. As the investigation heats up, Eddy realizes he left his fingerprints behind. He tries to erase them desperately but he cannot.
In a last-ditch effort, Eddy browbeats Gilbert into taking the fall, spinning a tale of early retirement and a quiet life. Gilbert agrees and confesses and is suspended for six months. He plans to add this to his savings to retire.
The dust is settling and the school is preparing for an upcoming trip to Normandy. Back at home Tiphaine visits Eddy to apologise for suspecting him, which he takes as a sign of romantic interest. In the meantime, Lucie has narrowed down the suspects to five, including Tiphaine who might be connected to Sagirov’s child.
