In 007 First Light, Chapter 8, James Bond is sent to a luxurious private resort in Vietnam, where under the glittering surface of the island there are secret agendas, deadly enemies, and vital intelligence. This mission combines stealth, investigation, collectibles and some big boss fights as Bond closes in on Damien Webb.
This guide will walk you through all collectibles, puzzle solutions, and combat encounters to get 100% completion. ### Getting to the Island Resort
Upon arrival to the island you will be escorted by concierge through the resort to your private villa.
Before proceeding, ascend the stairs and go into the bathroom down the hall. On the sink, you will find Card #24: Banner of Acorns.
Head to the bedroom and open the package of Q by the mirror. Test the new Q-Glasses and follow the concierge to the nearby bar to proceed with the story.
— #### Planting Q-Traks around the resort
A brief conversation at reception and Bond is allowed onto the resort grounds. The objective is to stealthily place Q-Traks on three persons of interest.
Before you find them, pick up a few local items.
Head for the Tranquillity Platform, by the Ocean View Bar. A lantern by the window holds Card #25: 8 of Shields.
Next stop, Lotus Bar. Behind the counter, is **Card #26: King of Roses.
Now, with those collectibles in hand it’s time to find the mission targets.
— ### Tracking Ramon Hernandez
Walk into Tranquillity Cave until you see a man talking on his phone.
Listen to the conversation, then use the Dartphone to take a Storage Key off of him. Use the key to open a nearby room, where you’ll find Card #27: 9 of Roses on a shelf.
Go to the storage area and grab the Yoga Mat. This item is a useful distraction later and gives a much easier way into the villa.
Go to Hung Villa and upstairs to meet Ramon Hernandez.
After talking to him, look around the bathroom to find Card #28: Under of Bells. In the bedroom, check the nightstand by the bed for Legacy #7: Tarot Deck.
When you’re finished exploring, leave the villa.
— ### The Hunt for Ellis White
Head down to the bar area below reception and listen in on a conversation between a couple.
The information shows that Ellis White is inside the Ocean View Bar.
The venue is guarded by two guards. You can neutralize them with gadgets, or steal an invitation from nearby guests before you approach the entrance.
Inside the bar, Ellis asks for help in finding a missing key.
Follow Jonty up to the upper level, and then sneak in behind the bar staff into the restricted area. Pass through the generator room where the missing key is hanging on the wall.
Players can quietly get rid of employees or use the wine menu to create a distraction and avoid suspicion.
Take the key, and talk to Ellis again. Give him a drink and Bond will be able to plant the Q-Trak.
Before you leave, stop by one of the tables on the right side of the lounge to pick up Postcard #7: Vietnam.
— ## Theresa Lorca meeting #
Theresa Lorca is in the neighborhood of the Velvet Lantern Bar.
She is accessible through various means, including walking along neighboring ledges, sneaking past workers, or creating environmental distractions.
Talk to Theresa, then explore the area near the pool and collect Intel #17: Keynote Presentation.
— ### Getting Ready for the Gala Event
Once you’ve deployed all tracking devices, proceed to the sun-lounger marked location.
New objective takes Bond to Lorca’s villa. Walk into the property and get ready for the next party sequence.
Enter the bedroom, look through the nightstand to get Memento #9: Diving Watch.
Grab Intel #18: Caliban Profile from the counter before you step into the main living area.
Exit the villa and proceed to the evening event.
— ### Getting Inside the Emperor Villa
The Emperor Villa is well guarded, but the tall grass around provides excellent cover.
Move to the right side of the property, taking out guards if necessary. There is a staircase on this route that leads directly onto the roof.
Climb up to the roof, then enter through one of the skylights and start exploring inside.
Go to the wine cellar and clear out any hostiles in there. Make your way through the villa until you find Ellis and finally rescue Theresa.
Stealth is not needed here. Players can also sprint straight to the objective if they want to get there quicker.
— ### Boss Fight: Murta Defeated!
Murta is the first big boss battle in the chapter.
He is predictable and easy to counter once you recognize his patterns though so thankfully.
The safest thing is to use tables nearby. Keep jumping over them . Hit them every time Murta comes .
Environmental attacks do a lot of damage as well. Whenever possible, Throw nearby objects and slam him into walls.
Win the fight and you will trigger a cutscene and unlock the Double or Die Achievement.
— ## The Chase for Damien Webb and Escape
Bond is soon captured and has to endure a tense exchange with Damien Webb.
Choose your dialogue options carefully to keep him talking and to advance through the sequence.
Bond tries to contact Greenway and the mission soon moves into a large-scale combat section.
Utilize Greenway’s sniper support to blow up explosive objects on the way and to take out enemies.
Look for Intel #19: Gun Case sitting on a wooden cable spool by the path in this section.
Then just keep going until you get to Greenway.
— ### Savings on Greenway
Kill the enemy on the truck and drive to Greenway.
The sequence then changes to a mixture of driving and sniper gameplay. Keep moving forward while using Greenway’s support to clear threats in front of you.
— ### The Final Fight: Damien Webb
The chapter ends with a showdown with Damien Webb.
In the first phase, use throwable environmental objects as much as possible. Damien is usually under lights, giving opportunities to stun him.
Hack the spot light controls as he drops down. The flash temporarily blinds him, leaving him vulnerable to melee attack.
Damien pulls out a gun in phase 2 . This is where he gets * way * more dangerous .
Use cover to drive him close enough, turn on the lights at the right moment and attack him while he’s stunned.
Repeat the process until Damien is defeated and you will get the You Know My Name Achievement
— ## Back to MI6
Head back to the main base and to the lower levels. Find the desk close to where Basil is for Memento #10: Niko Murto Locket.
Then meet up with Moneypenny and follow her to trigger another story sequence.
— ### Theft of Q Branch Field Equipment
The final part of Chapter 8 is set inside Q Branch.
In the gym area you can climb over the lockers and enter the upstairs hallway. Pick up Postcard #8: Q-Lab at the end.
Go to the lab and start collecting the fingerprints you need to get into the restricted testing areas.## Locations of Fingerprints
- Drink Glass of Q at the central desk
- Wearables Q-07 Wall mount hardware
- The motorbike in the other part of lab
Q-07 Wearables, go into the changing room and pick up Legacy #8: Trilby Hat
— ### Open the Stress Testing Cabinet
In Q-03 Stress Testing, unlock the cabinet with the code 4397.
The code is hidden on a vehicle license plate within the testing area.
You get Intel #20: Q’s Photo when you open the cabinet.
Here you will get the important gadget Q-Watch also.
— ### Breaking Out of the Lab Lockdown
The watch is acquired and a lockdown occurs.
To get away:
- Go up the yellow ladder.
- Spin the neighboring valve.
- Break the lock at the top of the furnace.
- Switch on the furnace controls.
- Use the explosion to clear a path ahead of you.
Drop through the open hatch and make your way for the exit.
— ## The Open Armoury
Your final task is to retrieve Bond’s service pistol.
Go to Q-08 Armoury and type in the code 1324.
The number is derived from the top score on the shooting range leaderboard.
