Filing For Love episode 10 is one of the most intense chapters of the drama so far with secret relationships, office betrayal and family power struggles colliding in spectacular fashion. With I-na caught up in a public scandal, and Jae-yeol finally taking on the challenge, the stakes are higher than ever for all involved.
I-na’s Past With A-jeong Comes Back Into Play
The episode opens with a flashback to 2022, depicting A-jeong and I-na’s first encounter. A-jeong breaks her heel by accident, so I-na gives her one of her shoes because they both wear the same brand. Later, A-jeong learns that her own pair is fake, while I-na’s is real, which embarrasses and confuses her.
I-na leaves for the United States before A-jeong can return the shoe. She obviously has this unfinished business.
Fast forward to today, and A-jeong finally sends the anonymous e-mail accusing I-na of having an inappropriate relationship with Jae-yeol. Even she is not sure whether her actions are prompted by love, jealousy or resentment.
Jae-yeol Attempts To Guard I-na
When Jae-yeol visits his mother, he finds the messages and rushes back to the office. There, he finds the board of directors, led by Sung-yeol, aggressively interrogating I-na about the photo leak.
He cuts the interrogation short and has HR check the IP address of the sender. He also fears there could be a company data breach and a defamation case, since the message was sent via the employee email systems and internal chats.
But whatever he does, Sung-yeol keeps hitting him. He warns Ina privately that the scandal can get away from her unless she comes to his side.
I-na shakes her head.
The following morning, Sung-yeol goes one step further and dispatches another team to search for her. She’s taken out her desk in front of everyone, dragged into interrogation while colleagues look on.”
Team Three on standby I-na
I-na keeps her composure, even if the investigation publicly humiliates her. She assures Ki-jun that she knows how to play the workplace politics and will survive the attack.
To support her, Team Three takes her out to dinner. At the gathering, Da-ye sees Ki-jun falling more and more for I-na, adding another layer of emotional tension to the story.
Meanwhile, Hyun-young begins to understand what is happening with Jae-yeol and I-na. She remembers seeing an engagement ring engraved with the initials “JIA” in his study, finding out that he recently visited I-na’s home. Eventually, she confirms that the initials are Joo I-na.
The Real Story with Anonymous Emails
Things change again when Ki-jun receives a warning from a friend in the IT department. The sender was traced to his own home.
Jae-yeol receives the same information at the same time, and the two men realize that A-jeong was responsible not only for the company-wide scandal email, but also for the anonymous messages that had been sent to Ki-jun.
In the situation, A-jeong blames Jae-yeol for not paying attention to her. Her emotional justification doesn’t redeem her, and she ends up getting fired.
But the damage has already been done.
Ki-jun Tries To Sacrifice Himself
Sung-yeol is unable to break I-na emotionally and begins to threaten her directly. He warns that HR might also come after Team Three, raising the stakes in the investigation.
Later that night, I-na becomes very drunk and Ki-jun has to carry her home. Desperate to protect her, he reaches out to Jae-yeol and offers to take the blame for the scandalous email, saying it was all a lie, so the accusations against I-na will seem bogus.
Ki-jun is prepared to take the fall at the disciplinary hearing.
But before he can make the ultimate sacrifice, I-na appears and takes the blame for her own actions. The hearing then takes a shocking turn when Jae-yeol publicly admits to being the man in the photo.
He goes on to explain that he and I-na used to be romantically involved and that the emotional hug happened because he was overwhelmed seeing her again after years apart. He insists their relationship is over already.
Office Rumors Continue To Fly
Jae-yeol’s confession takes some of the blame away from I-na, but it doesn’t stop the office gossip. Employees still whisper that she got where she is because of her relationship with him, not her ability.
I-na doesn’t hide, she goes back to work as usual and does what she can about the rumors. One of the best moments of the episode is her refusal to go away.
Elsewhere, Hyun-young stands up to Jae-yeol’s father when he criticizes him about the scandal. She says her family will back the big project coming up, but only if Jae-yeol is named president of the company at the general meeting.
Her actions increasingly reflect that their marriage is less about love than about power and control.
Sung-yeol Gets A New Weapon
Sung-yeol becomes angry and suspects that their father might choose Jae-yeol as the successor because of Hyun-young’s strong family.
Meanwhile, Doo-gi warns him about suspicious deleted files on Haemu Pharmaceutical. During the investigation of I-na, it was discovered that she had downloaded documents from the company’s cloud storage.
Sung-yeol sees an opportunity and chooses to wield the knowledge as a weapon at the shareholders’ meeting. He enlists A-jeong as a witness to fortify his attack.
Episode 10 Ends with Another Huge Cliffhanger
At the shareholders’ meeting, Mu-tae officially nominates Jae-yeol for the presidency. Just as things seem to be going his way, Sung-yeol cuts him off, accusing Jae-yeol of misconduct, which I-na supposedly helped cover up.
And then came the big shock.
Sung-yeol calls his witness and A-jeong walks in the room, leaving everyone speechless.
Review of Episode 10
Episode 10 does a great job of exploring A-jeong’s motivations without excusing her actions. We get that flashback and it gently shows just how deeply insecure she felt around I-na long before Jae-yeol came along. Her jealousy is clearly not just about romance and is the result of years of comparison and inferiority.
Simultaneously, the drama does a good job of showing how toxic corporate politics can destroy reputations overnight. I-na is one of the few who act professionally throughout the crisis, but she becomes the object ofhumiliation, gossip and moral judgment.
Ki-jun’s self-sacrificial tendency for I-na is emotionally touching, though admittedly frustrating. But fortunately, Jae-yeol decides to be honest rather than silent and that stops things from getting any worse.
The episode also adds more mystery to Jae-yeol’s marriage. Hyun-young’s need to keep him locked up shows just how calculated their relationship really is. Instead of giving him freedom she uses power, business influence and family levers to keep him under her thumb.
Episode 11 picks up right after the cliffhanger at the end of the shareholders’ meeting. With A-jeong working with Sung-yeol and the Haemu Pharmaceutical business exposed, next episode will see the fallout for Jae-yeol and I-na.
