Ravi wakes up before the count of 10 in Glory Episode 4, which is a continuation of the previous episode. Dev tells him to not push it and consider giving up the match, worried about the damage he’s doing to himself. But Raghubir stops him and tells him, in a moving speech, that he has nothing to be ashamed of. Raghubir blames himself for Arjun’s accidental death and forces Ravi to get back on track for the fight.
Inspired by his mentor’s words, Ravi picks himself up and lands a powerful knockout on Dharam, winning his victory and a place at the National Sports Institute.
That evening, Ravi goes to Arvind’s house to talk about his admission to NSI. He meets Bharti and she asks him inside, instead of finding Arvind. Bharti requests Ravi to spend the night with her as she will be going back to her hometown soon. Ravi reluctantly accepts her invitation.
The next morning, Ravi sees Dev trying to walk on his amputated leg and makes him go to the doctor. Dev drops Ravi at the NSI. He tells him once more that their mission is to find out who the mysterious caller was in connection to Nihal’s death. Ravi says to Dev that he should take care of his own health as he is tired of the constant pressure.
Meanwhile Joyna is harassed in the street, before Bharti comes to her rescue. Bharti takes her to the hospital, where Joyna runs into Dev unexpectedly.
Assistant Coach Rustenof shows Ravi around the campus at the National Sports Institute, but warns him that any unauthorized leave from the campus will lead to immediate disqualification. Ravi soon befriends Adiraj and he tells him about the brewing tensions between Nihal’s old circle and the fighters from Viju’s club, especially Shamsher.
Coach Panicker doesn’t waste any time testing Ravi’s abilities. He throws him right into a string of two-punch bouts. Ravi wins opponent after opponent and soon earns respect from both coaches and fellow boxers.
In the hospital, Dev gets some bad news when the doctor tells him that his leg is seriously infected. Before he can process the diagnosis, Kookie’s men abduct him and bring him to their boss. Kookie blames Dev for Sunny’s death and prepares to execute him.
Dev refuses to back down, saying Sunny was following orders from someone else when Nihal was killed. He asks Kookie directly if he is involved, but Kookie denies and orders his men to kill Dev with explosives.
Just as Dev’s fate appears sealed, Arvind and the police arrive in time to save him. Arvind admits that Joyna had been secretly following Kookie’s men and reporting to the police, which had saved Dev’s life.
Back at the NSI, Sonika invites Ravi to a sparring session. Shamsher tries to incite Ravi but Sonika intervenes and stops things from escalating and connects with Ravi.
Later that night Dev and Joyna have a quiet supper together. As they talk, Dev begins to open up about his traumatic past. He talks about how his dad made him box and would physically punish him if he didn’t. Dev, in an act of defiance, declined treatment and the wound became infected and eventually led to the amputation of his leg. Joyna listens, soothing him as he re-experiences his trauma.
Meanwhile, Ravi secretly puts something in Shamsher’s drink and tells Raghubir about his plan.
Dev and Joyna go back to her apartment, and drinks and personal conversation bring them closer together. Things are heating up and Joyna reveals the truth she’s been hiding. She reveals her connection with Nihal that he had asked her for help to come to Delhi with Gudiya. She is tormented by guilt, blaming herself for their deaths. Dev holds her while she cries.
Raghubir files a report and an anti-doping committee turns up at the NSI the next morning. All athletes are tested. Ravi privately confronts Shamsher about poisoning his drink and offers an antidote in exchange for information.
Fearful, Shamsher gives in and confesses that he was in a hotel room with Assistant Coach Rustenof the night of Nihal’s murder and that he had nothing to do with reaching out to Sunny.
Meanwhile, Joyna informs Dev that the ring found on Sunny is a smart ring. Dev soon finds out that it is registered in Sonika’s name and he warns Ravi immediately.
That night Ravi comes to Sonika in the training room accusing her of betraying Nihal and giving away his location to Sunny. He holds her responsible for Gudiya’s death, but Sonika denies the charge and says that Sunny and his associate Kapil were directly involved in the murder of Nihal.
Adiraj tries to stop him, but Ravi is adamant to know the truth and leaves the NSI.
Meanwhile, Sunny is dead, and Kapil is frightened and begs Sarpanch Dhanda to save him from Sunny’s men. Dhanda agrees to keep him hidden. The episode closes with Ravi and Dev heading towards Dhanda’s home, ready to face the man who might have the answers.
The Review of the Episode
Episode 4 is a bit more mysterious, and the investigation becomes a game of deception where every clue seems to point to another suspect. With only a few episodes left and the truth behind the murders of Nihal and Gudiya still feels far away, suspense is kept alive.
The series continues to add to its web of suspects and the links between Sunny, Kookie, Kapil and Dhanda indicate that bigger players are still lurking in the shadows. Another element of mystery is the notion that someone completely unforeseen might be responsible for all of this.
The interrogation of Shamsher is one of the most entertaining moments of the episode, and especially when Ravi’s bluff works like a charm. At the same time, Dev’s emotional backstory gives his character a lot of depth and explains a lot of his pain and guilt.
Ravi’s choice to leave NSI is an emotional turning point. As his boxing career begins to take off, his obsession with the truth may lead him away from the sport he so obviously loves. That internal discord could become one of the most significant story lines moving forward.
